Meet the Miracle Kids!
At SalveTHON, we strive to make a change for our miracle families. This year, we are honored to be working with these amazing kids, and more to come! Get to know their stories below.
Arianna
Arianna was diagnosed with Stage V Wilm's Tumor cancer in May 2020. Within two days, Ari had surgery to remove the tumor and her right kidney. She spent 12 days at Hasbro, where she began chemotherapy and radiation treatment to target the cancer that spread to her kidneys, lungs, liver, and lymph nodes. Ari won her battle and rang that cancer free bell as she walked out of the hospital. Ari has continued to enjoy a life filled with love and passion.
TYLER
Tyler has been involved with Hasbro for his whole life. His Down syndrome diagnosis was found prenatal, and he went into heart failure weeks after he was born, requiring surgical repair. In June of 2014, Tyler was diagnosed with Leukemia, was hospitalized, and began chemotherapy. His last treatment was over seven years ago and has remained cancer free! We are so happy that Tyler is part of our SalveTHON family.
PAIGE
Paige was diagnosed with an omphalocele before she was born; this is when the body's internal organs develop outside of the body. For Paige, this included her intestines, stomach, and part of her liver. When the doctors at Hasbro discovered she had pulmonary hypertension and an atrial septum defect in her heart, she stayed strong. Even though she has undergone 23 total surgeries, Paige remains courageous and tough!
Ethan
Ethan was diagnosed with sickle cell disease one week after birth. This is a genetic condition where red blood cells are abnormal and die early, causing severe pain and risk of stroke and acute chest syndrome. Ethan has been cared for at Hasbro and its Tomorrow Fund Clinic since his diagnosis, and was declared as the 2023 Champion Child for overcoming his medical challenges with courage and determination.
